It is always amazing and hopeful to me to realize how quickly we come to care for one another. How easily community is formed and how really, when it comes down to it, we as people, are happiest when we are together and when we are allowed to love and help one another. The last night I got the flu, not ideal to be unzipping out of a mummy bag, leaping over 10 sleeping people and throwing up in a middle of the night blizzard, but I was so touched by the groups reaction. All the running in and out that I and another sick guy made a bit of noise, instead of being upset, or asking us to get back in bed for another couple of hours, everyone got up at 5:30 a.m. and started the clean up. We still had to ski down a couple miles so everyone started taking things out of my pack and putting it into their own so I wouldn't have to carry down a heavy load. The ski down was one of the most gorgeous mornings I've ever been a part of, it seems silly even to describe the sunrise falling through grey clouds onto untouched hills of snow and fir trees. The scene kept my mind off the nausea, and my classmates were ever in front or behind making sure I was alright. I really love the people I was with last week. So good. I wish there was a way to show my gratitude and love. Bake them a loaf of bread? I don't know.

Yeah you have a blog!! We are linked to you now. That's so sad you got the flu, at least I didn't give it to you like I did last time :( Thank you for the sweet card. We were so excited to get a letter in the mail. We love you and miss you tons. It's people like you that make this world wonderful and you are a great example how easy it is to love one another.
