i just had the best dream...

I was on a road trip with my family, my cousins and Elisa and Davey were there too.  We were going to all sorts of places.  We stopped at a diner in a small city and we were sort of at the back just enjoying ourselves when in through the front door, and then ordering a milkshake, was FRED SAVAGE.  I've never felt in real life that I've had a big crush on the star of the Wonder Years,  but apparently there's been some repressed emotion because I was totally star struck and in love with him.  It was like I was in 8th grade again, I kept walking past hoping he would notice, even though he had a girlfriend and a really cool possy.  I'm sure he's like 30 years old by now, but he was just the right age in my dream, mature, striking, fun, playful.  Maybe it's because people used to tell me I looked like Winnie Cooper, or maybe it's because I was thinking about that episode of The Wonder Years when Winnie breaks her leg and Kevin climbs up on her roof and peeks in her window to tell her he loves her, yes, I totally cried then...or maybe it was the episode where Kevin leads his whole school out onto the football fields to protest the war and everyone sings, "all we are saying, is give peace a chance, " and yes I cried then too.  Maybe subconsciously Kevin Arnold proved to me that utopian romance is possible, that an everyday kid can have it all.  Last night in the dream I don't think we ever actually spoke, but I was sure as I was driving away that we made eye contact, and he realized there was something there too.

well, E will be happy to know that we both dreamed about her. I was staying at her apt. It was all manner of weird. It would have been better with some TV stars.

Ashley! Is it really you? I was hoping I would find your blog one day although I'm not quite sure how I did. I would have bought some of your items at the Farmer's Market although it looks like you made some good purchases too.
