i never know how to express proper gratitude and then i realized that is perhaps why i make paintings.

I am delighted you are here. If you wonder who I am, here goes a paragraph: I grew up in Provo, Utah. I currently live in Palo Alto, California where my husband is getting a PhD in geology at Stanford University. I am in charge of two little people who both have my heart, Remy and Thea. I got my BFA in painting and my MFA in Poetry, both from Brigham Young University. I just finished my first four children's books. You can find them at ashmae.com. I believe creativity is vital and that we are all capable of good things. This is a place mainly for words, and a little art.
