I have decided that while I can't work for money, I can certainly volunteer. I have my first doula job with a woman from Mexico who doesn't speak any english and I am going to work in the migrant camps once a week, doing health care stuff. I am also working on making my own toy business with things to sell at the Saturday's market. If pig starts looking a little better, he will be there too.
Portland is beautiful. I love it here. I miss people all the time of course, but I have a nice sense of peace in knowing that we are all doing good things and will see each other again.

man, the northwest sure is a bummer in terms of jobs right now. My girlfriend marissa spent about 5 months, applying every single day until she found a job. now she has one and it is good. NOt to be a downner about jobs though. I feel optimistic about your ability to find a job. you are well qualified and have many talents. WHat brings you to the northwest anyway? mayhaps someday our paths will cross? maybe I will go back to church and be your bishop?
I'm glad that you're still making and doing good, important things. Making money isn't everything. Good luck!
oops that last comment was from me... my name is Erin Jane, I am friends with Heather and Annie Link... I live in Portland too! We should be friends? Why did you move here?
Hey Ashley Mae! I live a little outside of the city but I work at Anthropologie in North East, sort of near Saturday Market area. I think I am going to move closer to there at the end of the summer. call me if you need a friend to go do stuff with! 360 910 5038
I'm going on job interview #4 today - Provo isn't so hot for the jobsearch either. I'm actually really pumped about the idea of being a secretary for a pediatrics office. Fingers crossed.
i like your pig
you are alive! I miss you so!
i will be graduating in may and im already thinking of places where I would move in case I dont find anything in nyc. i thought of Portland, because I hear is so great. anyway, ill send good karma your way so that you may find a good job.
AHH! jobs! so scary, i'll just stay in school so i don't have to be rejected by a million employers, oh wait, i hate school. what's a girl to do?
