I'm starting to work on a piece of writing about the meteor that passed over Nevada, Idaho and Utah last night at about 12:20. If you were awake or if it woke you up, I would love to know a little bit about your experience or what you thought when it happened.

I didn't even know about it. UGH.
i was asleep and i'm so sad.
but i wish i had taken a midnight walk down to the park by my house. then i could have seen it streak above the slc downtown lights. i would have been sitting on the swings. and it would have shocked me. and if i'd been at the park and seen it, i would have wished Andy could have been sitting in the other swing. i would have wanted him to see it too (then maybe there would be a way that we could believe the same things and then he'd be allowed to love me).
At 12.20 my time I was watching Desperate Housewives for a course on the 50's and thinking about how destructive self-centeredness can be in a marriage.
I'm SO sad I missed last night's bolide.. I even defined "bolide" on my FB status 2 days ago because I'm psychic like that. Actually, I learned the word in anticipation of the Leonids, which I'd heard were a dud, so I decided _not_ to go out in the cold last night--and then this! The news says it wasn't even related to the Leonids. And now I weep.
I was driving back to Logan when all of a sudden the sky lit up to a light gray. I thought it was lightning, since I hadn't heard of any meteors coming. I wish I had seen the actual meteor, but I only saw the glow.
I saw your site on diana's blog haha. but i was walking along the sidewalk when the sky became progressively lighter. I looked up to see one of the most beautiful things in the world. It seemed like the whole world lit up. I was silent for a bit and then started to laugh and jump up and down. yep. such a lucky thing.
