I'm so glad Carl always wants to be my friend, and that he makes me tea before bed, and gets up without complaining to turn off the alarm every single morning, even though I set it across the room, and for way earlier than I should (I really am convinced every night that I will be able to jump out of bed that early even though it's happened a total of about 10 times in my entire life).
