franny and zooey

I read Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger today. I know it´s been Elisa´s favorite book for a long time and I ´don´t know why i haven´t gotten around to it yet, but a very long bus ride seemed the appropriate time. It is a poignant book. Salinger makes me want to write novels about real people. If i had it with me I would quote some now, but there is one part I loved so much I am going to try and paraphrase anyway. It´s Franny talking about what a poet is and she says that a poet doesn´t just leave some lines on a page, but gets up and lives beautifully.

On another good note, i finally found somewhere to do my laundry, which I´m entirely ecstactic about.
