and luckily I have a really nice boyfriend who is trained in the art of physics and calculus, and therefore is able to visualize things before their actual creation. I was sad because I didn't have a spring dress, nor any money from a measley paycheck to buy one, so we made one. Mostly Carl made one. At first he thought it would be best just to get two rectangles of fabric and pin them until it seemed to fit right, but we found that just wasn't quite cutting it, so we snipped, we pinned, we sewed, we did a relatively small amount of unpicking, and we rejoiced in the somewhat odd, but presentable dress that we made this afternoon.

What the...now THAT'S impressive. You two are M.F.E.O. (made fore each other)
AAAAAAAAAHHHHH that is a good looking dress, made of felt! Wordissima. You two are ridiculously good together.
This is just about the cutest thing that two lovely people could do on a Saturday afternoon.
Yay for spring dresses and hip boyfriends and felt on sale!
I agree with kate, and I'm jealous because I bought felt that wasn't on sale so I could make baby booties.
I can't buy a cute spring dress either, so maybe i'll follow your example and make one too!
oops! That comment from Ashley was really from me, because I'm on Kimball's computer and I didn't realize that she had logged on! Love you.
cool i want to see it! wear it to the print lab!!
Clever AND cute -- you, Carl, and the dress!
Is that cheetoh dust on Carl's fingers?
Cheetoh's are on my mind. I was at Trader Joes the other day and bought some, only to be chastized by the cashier for having done so ("I just can't eat things that leave cheese powder all over my fingers").
marry a boy who can make you a dress.
WOW!!!
